Counterparty due diligence · Worldwide
Put every counterparty under proper scrutiny, before you sign.
Before you accept an unfamiliar investor, trust an unusually cheap overseas supplier, sign a government MOU, or act on a buyer's large wire request — find out who is really on the other side.

You have one counterparty to check and no compliance department.
An investor wants to wire funds into your company and you cannot find them in any registry. A supplier in another country quotes half the market rate. A partner proposes an MOU with a government agency and asks you to sign this week.
The firms that answer these questions properly work on retainer and start in the tens of thousands. The cheap self-serve tools only cover US employment screening.
Between those two, most small businesses, consultants, landlords and founders get nothing, and end up guessing. Scrutinex exists for that gap: one report, one price, real research, worldwide.
Sized to the decision
Three counterparty due diligence reports. Six prices. No tiers to grow into.
Every report includes global sanctions screening across OFAC, UN and EU lists, PEP screening, offshore exposure, adverse media and a full source log.
Registration status and filing history, ownership and directors, litigation where records are public, and sanctions screening on the entity and its officers.
Vendors · suppliers · buyers · JV partners
Identity and stated credentials, professional track record and reference verification, sanctions and politically exposed person screening.
Investors · agents · advisors · executives
Both reports, plus a cross-reference map showing how the person and the entity are actually connected: shareholdings, directorships, shared addresses and related parties.
When one individual is the reason for the deal
Individual Reports are not consumer reports and cannot be used for employment, tenancy or credit decisions.
What the screening covers
A name match is a question, not a conclusion.
Sanctions screening is one part of a proper review. We combine list checks with identity, registry, ownership and adverse-media research, so a match is assessed in context rather than reported as a verdict.
Verification standard
"Nothing in the report is asserted without a source you can check."
Global sanctions and PEP screening
OFAC, the UN Security Council Consolidated List and the EU Consolidated List — all three, on every report. A party absent from one list is regularly present on another.
Offshore and beneficial ownership
The ICIJ Offshore Leaks Database, checked against the subject and its named officers, to surface structures behind an otherwise ordinary registration.
Adverse media scan
Structured media review in the relevant local languages, not only English, with each item assessed rather than pasted in.
Sources and verification log
A numbered list of every database, registry and document consulted, with the date checked, so you can independently re-run any finding.
How a report gets made
01
Intake
The subject's name plus at least one hard identifier: a registration number, a date of birth or a nationality. Without one, screening returns name matches instead of a subject.
02
Automated screening
Registry lookups, all three sanctions lists, PEP records, offshore databases and media, run against the identifiers you supplied.
03
Human review
Anything flagged goes to an analyst with government AML and compliance experience. Full reports are reviewed end to end, not only on flags.
04
Delivery
A sectioned PDF: bottom line, key findings, risk drivers, recommended next steps, and the complete source log.
Why clients trust the answer
The standard behind a $99 report came from running AML compliance at national level.
Scrutinex is a service of Cardinal Point Advisors LLC, founded by James F. Kollie, Jr., former Deputy Minister of Finance of the Republic of Liberia and former Chief Executive Officer of the Liberia Maritime Authority.
Screening software returns matches. Deciding what a match means — especially where politically exposed persons, offshore structures or thin registry data are involved — requires someone who has made those calls in a setting where getting them wrong had consequences.
